What is included in personal training with DT Training?

Hi, I'm David. I'm passionate about health and fitness and want to provide the best personal training to everyone. That's why when you train with me, there are no premade programs or unrealistic expectations. I will:

  • Make sure you're on track with your goals with weekly check-ins
  • Create individualised programs depending on your body mechanics as well as your goals
  • Conduct a detailed screening before exercise to minimise the risk of injury
  • Help you monitor what goes into your body

In your 45-minute free consultation, I'll:

  • Conduct a variety of tests to assess your strengths and weaknesses
  • Come up with a training routine that works towards your goals in a healthy, realistic way
  • Establish a baseline figure so that we can track your progress

How far away from Abbotsford are you located?

My studio is located on Harper Street in Abbotsford. I have everything you need to reach your goal. No membership to come train with me. No lock-in contracts, enjoy the training and pay as you go.

How often should I train?

Health guidelines recommend 3-5 hours of moderate exercise per week. How you reach this amount is up to you! Walking the dog daily in Abbotsford is a great way to fill some of this quota. At DT Training you can do as many sessions a week you can handle (side note: it is important to let your body adjust to training so don’t go from no training to training every day.). However, habitual training is important and it is expected that members will train at least once a week with a coach.

Why should I get personal training?

Lots of people, especially during lockdowns, are getting in daily walks and being outside. Resistance training and training at higher intensities are missing! These types of training are essential for bone health, mental health and maintaining a healthy body composition. Studies have shown that people who pursue fitness-related goals with a personal trainer are 9 times more likely to achieve it than people who do it solo.

Why train with me?

I have worked at many different gyms during my time as a personal trainer. A lot of coaches will push for results too quickly which is impossible for humans to maintain. I will meet you where you are at. I want long term sustainable change and progress for you! Fitness isn't a 6-week challenge where you lose some weight only to go back to your old routines and put the weight on. It’s a lifestyle where you make long term changes for the better.
